Purchases and Gifts

I've been shopping again. It sure is nice to have money!
I got 2 new mugs, one that's orange with adorable black spiders on it, and one that is black with skeletons and candy corn on it:

I also got some cute purple socks with little black spiders and webs on it, and some plastic bats of various colors (which I am planning on making earrings or something with tonight ^_^)

I went on an adventure to Bulk Barn as well (for those of you who may not know, its a store that sells candy in bulk)! And I got some Candy Corn, Pumpkins, and Halloween Taffy to put on the table for my tea party! (which is in only 2 days!!!)

I've also been super lucky and got two early birthday gifts! I got a medium sized mini top hat (so it's not suuper small) and 2 gothic lolita ribbon bracelets made by a very good friend of mine and sent by mail!

The hat looks pinkish in the picture, whereas its actually the same shade of red as in the ribbon bracelets below :)

I'm so lucky!
I plan on wearing both of these accessories to my tea party.

Have a gloomy night <3

Outfit of the Day 4

Hello! I'm very sorry for not posting O.t.D's for the past couple of days! My camera ran out of battery power -_-

So this is what I looked like today (well, yesterday really, considering I'm posting this at nearly 2a.m.)

August 24th 2012

Its always hard to tell what I'm wearing with all the black *_*
I'm wearing black white-spotted tights, a pencil skirt with a black tank top, with a black cardigan and scarf. I'm also wearing two gothic lolita style ribbon bracelets my friend made me, a massive black rose in my hair, and a smaller black flower. :)

Have a good night (well, morning)

Blog Resolutions

Hello, so recently random ideas for blog entries have been popping into my head. Also I feel like I should try making more useful posts more often (at least once or twice a week) considering most of the things I post are quite random and picture filled. but hey! who doesn't like pictures? Anyway, without further ado, here is a list of my blog resolutions:

  • Post a new recipe at least once a month
  • Post some DIY's
  • Post some movie reviews and a list of my favourite movies with clicky-links.
That's pretty much it for now I think. Short huh? Pretty surprising considering I made a whole post about it...I didn't realize it was quite so meagre. ^_^'

Quickly moving on....
I also plan to;
-do The Goth Challenge I found on the blog called Juliet's Lace starting September 1st.
-And answer F.A.Q. about the Goth subculture according to my own personal opinions.

As I've mentioned, I will also be doing one, or several posts about my party such as~

-Posting pictures of the party favors,
-Posting the recipes I used for the baked goods, with mine, and *hopefully* my guests' opinion of them.
-Pictures! Lots of pictures of the party >;D
There will also be Tea Duelling, so hopefully I can record that and post it as well, along with the rules and such.

I also have some resolutions that do not involve my blog, such as; finishing An Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice before the end of the summer. As well as making more DoomBears, decorating my backpack and possibly my camisole, and painting more often.

So it appears I have a lot to keep myself busy with! I think tomorrow I definatly need to start working on the music playlist for the party, and apparently my aunt has some cool artsy -and some artsy Halloween- stuff I can play around with for party favors so I will probably start on that as well.

This is mostly a post for myself to keep track of things, and in hopes that readers may see something they find interesting and follow this blog<3 So feel free to comment, and give some ideas on topics I should cover!

Have a horrible night, (I say that in the most loving way of course<3)

DoomBears

For a while now I've been making stuffed animals every now and then. I sew them by hand so it takes me quite a while to make a single small bear, however it usually pays off in the end as they turn out pretty cute. Here are some pics of bears I have created:

This is Weary (Top left) and Dreary (Top Right). Weary is a bear, and Dreary; a bat.

Above is Barnibas, from Barnibas Bats' Bakery and a stuffed bear (that I made for my awesome friend Jaz <3)
I also made a large plain black bat, but the material was not very good and started tearing :'(
Barnibas is the newest addition, which I made towards the beginning of the summer. However I hope to start making more and working with the sewing machine!

Have a good night,
~Anne

Outfit of the Day 3

Really this should be my fourth Outfit of the Day, but yesterday I was not in the mood for taking pictures.
This is what I look like today;

August 21st 2012

Sorry I didnt take a full mirror shot, but my outfit is pretty basic today anyways; ankle length black skirt, black cardigan, and a black band T-shirt.

I really like the crimped hair as it's so easy to do and work with. I just braid it at night after taking a shower and take them out in the morning, but I'm getting sort of tired with it so I think I'll mix it up a bit a wear my hair straight tomorrow.

Exciting noose, er... news*

I have a lot of exciting noose news.
Well, a fair amount of semi-exciting news.

First off, I have a new blog design (if that isn't already obvious)! Anyway, I am quite happy with it and like it a lot. Please comment and give me your opinions!

Secondly, I have a couple followers! This makes me extremely happy, so Thank You!!!

I have recently been commissioned to make Piplup (pokemon) earrings for a girl who attends the same school as myself, which is awesome (my first commission)!

Also, there is a week until my birthday! My party is going to be a Victorian inspired tea party with Gothic elements. There are going to be a whole bunch of different baked goods, finger sandwiches, and two different kinds of tea; Orange Pekoe, and Blueberry (I know, I know. Earl Grey is the traditional tea party tea. But it's the only tea that I have ever experienced that I absolutely cannot stomach (its the only tea that I really dislike at all for that matter)). There will also be Tea Dueling (if you are unaware of what this is, please click the hyperlink which will bring you to a wonderful article I found on the lovely blog 'Unlacing the Victorians').

Last night I found this awesome show; Die Schule der kleinen Vampire. Its called 'School for Vampires' in English (I think?) and it is super cute. The show is fairly kid-ish, but it's adorable and fun, and great entertainment for a lazy day when you have nothing better to do. The hyperlink brings you to the first episode of the first season with English subtitles.

I think thats mostly all the exciting news I have. I am back at my aunts house because my parents have gone away (I just got home on Wednesday and I left again on Sunday)! I'll be getting home on Friday, and then I will have three days to bake everything for my tea party, and go shopping for napkins and a table cloth and such, so I'm going to be busy! However, I'll continue posting random entries, and will make sure to post pictures from my Tea Party.. I also hope to be posting some more recipes!

Anyway I shall love you and leave you with this cute Beetlejuice-y comic strip that I found saved on my computer.

Have a lovely night,
~Anne <3

Summer Vacation 2012

So as I've been saying, I've been on vacation for the past two weeks. I had so much fun! There was so much food, and company, and activities but at the same time it was very laid back and relaxing. I was able to see some relatives that I only get to see once or twice a year and everyone had such a blast. Since the cottage is located right along a small spring-fed lake, we spent our days swimming and boating, tubing, knee boarding, & water skiing. We spent our mornings and evenings fishing, and our nights watching movies and/or playing board games.

The following are some pictures of where I slept. I was staying at a cottage, however it only accommodates 6-7 people at most, and since there were plenty of people there the entire time my sister and I slept in the camper. I also really enjoyed taking naps there -and with the sun shining in as shown in the first picture It was very relaxing.

The following are photos of a frog who decided to climb up the window one night while we were watching a movie. It was quite adorable.

And this was a fish who decided to nibble at my toes. I was sort of freaked out at first because it wouldn't go away, and my aunt told me that people actually go to certain spas and pay to put their feet in a pool of water full of fish! Apparently they get rid of callouses or something.
(My toenails are Emilie Autumn inspired~)

Here are just some random pretty scenery photos from one afternoon when I was fishing with my uncle.

And finally, me with my uncle.

Anyway, I had a great time, I would post more photos of me with my relatives, but unfortunately they do not appreciate having their photo's put on the internet.

Have a lovely night,
~Anne

Outfit of the Day 2

Here is what I am wearing today. :)

August 19th 2012

I am wearing my 'Beetlejuice' skirt (as I like to call it), my corset-style shirt, black cardigan (which I am contemplating sewing some white skulls, bones or bats on for fun), a red hat that I put a massive black rose hair clip/broach on, red lipstick, home-made bat choker necklace, and short solid black leggings under leggings.
It's very fun mixing and matching clothes, especially now, since I just got a bunch of new additions to my wardrobe!

~Anne :)

Outfit of the Day 1

Okay, so I meant to make this entry yesterday, but I got caught up in packing (I just get home and I'm leaving again!) so I'll just have to do yesterdays and today's 'Outfit of the Day' in the same day.

I decided to start doing 'O.T.D's because it seems fun, and gives me a reason in the summer to put the effort into looking good (instead of wearing my black pajama shorts and Creature Feature band shirt every day)!
I'm also doing this because my best friend is moving far away and I need to reassure her that I'm still her sexy painted doll. ;D

So this is what I wore yesterday...

 August 18th 2012

Sorry, there arent really any full shots, but I'm wearing my lacy see-through tank top, lacy layered skirt, and black tights with white spots (which you can only really see in the first picture). I'm also wearing my mini top hat, black bow, and cameo necklace I got for x-mas from my mother.

I don't plan on doing these every day, but probably only when I think my outfit is picture-worthy. Otherwise I'd have tons of outfit entries; people might start thinking I'm vain! ;O XD

Mini Top Hats and Charm Bracelets

When I got back from my vacation I bought a hot glue gun! I've been wanting to make a mini top hat for ever, and I finally have! Here are some pics :)

Also, my Mother's 60th birthday was yesterday, and I made her a charm bracelet.

I decorated the box too >:) She loved it :)

Andd, I have exciting news!

1. I got commissioned to make a pair of Pokemon earrings for a girl who attends the same school as I.
2. My sweet 16 is in 9 days. I'll be hosting a small tea party. I am very, very excited!

~Anne.

Thrift Shopping and other trinkets

Two weeks ago I went on vacation to my aunts cottage. I stayed there for a week, and then we went to stay at her house in the city for a few more days, I got back on Wednesday and have been procrastinating with writing a blog entry up until now.

When I was staying with my aunt in the city, we went thrift shopping! Here are the things I got :)

Long, ankle length black skirt 10$ (Left). Black camisole 4$ (Right).

Medium length, black pleated skirt 10$ (Left). Lacy black T-shirt style top 6$ (Right).

Black and white striped, short 'Beetlejuice' skirt 8$ (Left). Black see-through lacy tank top 6$ (Right).

Short black layered lacy skirt 8$ (Left). High & wide neck-ed medium-length sleeved shirt 6$ (Right).

Long sleeved V-neck sweater shirt 6$.

My aunt bought me a new voodoo plush that I named Valdimar VenTeddy (the one beside him is Suffer VenTeddy which I purchased a few months ago).

and when I got home, I found this lovely mirror awaiting me:

and finally, I bought a new makeup bag! (from the Dollarama ;D)

I can't decide whether it's a Beetlejuice bag, or Emilie Autumn bag....perhaps since the skirt is a Beetlejuice skirt, I'll sew a red heart in the corner of the bag and call it an EA bag...

Anywho, that's pretty much all the purchases I have made in the past two months...oh! and I bought 'Emily the Strange- the Lost Days' (book) since it seems pretty cute and interesting.

Have a lovely day,
Anne.
