Blog Challenge- Day 2

Nickname and why you have it.

I have a few nicknames, however I don't really have any that are terribly common.

1. Queen Crimson Dust;
This is really just a joke between me and my friend Michelle. In grade 10 French class one day last year we were chatting and singing (the usual- yes, we sing in class XD (mostly EA)), it was last period and class was almost over, and someone made a weird circular paper plane thing like this;

and tossed it at us, so naturally, I decided to put it on my head and wear it as a crown. And then I was like ':O ! I need a Goth name!' (jokingly) then I thought for a moment and was like "I know! Queen Crimson Dust!" I think the name just randomly popped into my head, we both laughed so hard XD

2. Babes;
This is what Michelle calls me most often because of my love for Beetlejuice (for those of you who don't know, Beetlejuice calls Lydia 'babes' all the time).

3. Lydia;
My Uncle calls me Lydia, because he thinks I look like her when I'm wearing my sunglasses.

4. Elvira;
This one is a little old, I used to wear my hair EXTREMELY teased, and my dad would call me Elvira.
I looked like this;

5. Painted doll;
Michelle calls me her painted doll, because in the winter I would do elaborate designs with my liquid eyeliner (it doesn't look good in the summer, because its too hot and my skin isn't pale enough);

6. 'Shy';
My full first name is 'Shyanne' so mostly my friends call me 'Shy'.

Anddd, my brother sometimes calls me 'Darkness' XD he'll come up to me and be like 'Hey darkness'.

I think those are the main ones...sometime I'm called Chi-Chan...that's mostly it :)

I'm trying to catch up on all the days I've missed! Sorry!
Have a good night,
~Anne

Blog challenge- day 1

This post is pretty delayed, I've been busy with other things lately so I haven't been able to get around to doing this, sorry!

10 things about yourself.

1. I am a self-confessed tea addict
2. I love swinging at the park at night
3. I like to say that I'm not judge-mental, but I've realized that I actually am
4. I still have stuffed animals on my bed. Well, stuffed bats and voodoo dolls and such
5. I have never been in a serious relationship (I actually have never had a boyfriend in high school- yet).

6. I love cute and creepy things
7. I love over-done, dramatic, cheesy bands/songs

8. I'm addicted to black and white stripes and anything that's Beetlejuice-y.
9. I became interested in the Goth subculture July 2011
10. I no longer consider myself 'a Goth' so much as just 'interested in the Goth subculture'. I've realized I shouldn't restrict myself to just one lifestyle or category when there are a lot of other styles (and movies/books/music/etc) that I quite like, such as visual kei, and fairy kei.

Sweet Sixteen Tea Party

So, Tuesday was my birthday (sweet sixteen!) and I had a tea party. It was very, very fun. There was so much food and the company was great! I also got awesome gifts from friends and family (and TONS of tea)!

As promised, here are some of the photo's from the party;

For the first hour and a half hours we sat around the table and enjoyed tea and treats. There were Red Velvet Cupcakes (with home-made cream cheese icing), Blueberry Scones, Nutri-Cookies, and Walnut-Craisin Pound Cake (with lemon cream cheese Icing). There were also cucumber finger sandwiches, egg-salad finger sandwiches, cream cheese & craisin tortilla rollups and tuna finger sandwiches.

(All of the above was made by me in two days, I may add.)
I wish I took a picture of the refrigerator the night before the party, it was packed full of baked goods and sandwiches. It's a good thing we have two fridges!

The following are photos of me and my friends! <3

Jaz, Me, MacGregor
Me, Michelle, Chantal
(Jaz wanted us to do the 'duck face' for fun -you can tell we're out of practice).

The whole gang except for Jess

Presents!

I got a whole bunch of gifts!
I got tea (I got a Birthday Cake flavoured rooibos tea which really tastes like cake! and a bunch of other awesome loose leaf teas and pre-packed teas) mugs, a tea pot, a tea time recipe book, some stuffed dolls, facial cleansing stuff, the new evanescence CD (which my brother got me, he's also ordering me either the new Emilie Autumn album (F.L.A.G.) or pre-ordering me the new (The) Birthday Massacre album)! I got the new iPod shuffle and iHome (docking station) from my parents.

and, I got the most amazing painting ever from my friend Michelle<3 I love it to pieces.

I'm on the left with the corset top, and combat boots (my hair was red when school was still in and I plan on re-dying it) and Michelle is on the right. The script on the bottom says 'bestfriends' in Japanese <333

It's hanging on my wall right now :)

Anyway, I hope to post the recipes soon, also I need to do a Music of the Month entry, and tomorrow I start the 30 day challenge I mentioned. I also plan on doing a review of Emilie Autumns new F.L.A.G. album.

Have a great night,
~Anne
